Mining · Native V1

Mine as a Voyager
or a Holder.

Every block publicly names one reward mode. The miner chooses it explicitly; there is no default. A Voyager takes the reward now. A Holder locks part of it for up to two years and draws from the Holder pool.

Status: the native V1 monetary rules are selected and implemented in integer accounting. The public test network and production network are not available. These are protocol rules, not a promise of value or returns.

Amounts in SIP, before transaction fees, which go to the miner in full. Calculated in your browser with the protocol's integer rules. The fund is shown as one 10% share; genesis wallet weights round each wallet separately, which can move the miner base by a few atoms.

01 / Two identities

One block, one mode.

reward_mode = voyager

Voyager

Paid now.

Miner base reward

  • One reward note with 75% of the miner base, spendable after 24 blocks (about 2 hours)
  • 20% goes to the Holder pool
  • 5% is burned
  • Never draws from the Holder pool

For miners who need liquidity now.

reward_mode = holder

Holder

Paid over two years, plus the pool.

Miner base reward

  • 60% of the miner base, plus 1 / 4,032 of the Holder pool, spendable after 24 blocks
  • The other 40% is locked in four notes of 10% each
  • Nothing is burned; the whole miner base is paid

For miners who commit for the long term. Holders share the 20% that every Voyager block pays into the pool.

  • In both modes the miner also receives every private transaction fee in the block, in the note that matures after 24 blocks
  • The mode is fixed when the block template is created; changing the setting affects only later templates
  • Any other note count, amount, asset or unlock height makes the block invalid

02 / Holder pool

Voyagers fund
the Holders.

  • In: 3% of every block subsidy
  • In: 20% of the miner base of every Voyager block
  • Out: each Holder block claims 1 / 4,032 of the pool, after that block's 3% is credited
  • The pool is public protocol state with no private key; nobody can spend it directly

4,032 blocks is about 14 days. The more blocks Voyagers mine, the faster the pool grows for Holders.

03 / Subsidy split

Where each block's
subsidy goes.

Miner base, split by the block's modeDevelopment fund3% Holder pool

Miner base: the residual after the fund and pool shares, nominally 87%. Every rounding atom goes to the miner, so no atom is created or lost.

Development fund: 10%. Half of each credit is available after 24 blocks; the other half releases daily over 1,461 days (4 years). Each payout needs a post-quantum ML-DSA-65 signature.

Fees: private transfers, not subsidy. Their full sum goes to the producing miner and never enters this split.

The number of development-fund wallets and their individual shares are not yet configured. They must be fixed at genesis before the network can produce blocks.

04 / Emission

Integer emission,
permanent tail.

Block target
300 seconds (5 minutes), sequential BLAKE3 proof of work
Initial subsidy
33.94524515 SIP per block, for blocks 1 to 4,032
Decay
Every 4,032 blocks (about 14 days) the subsidy is multiplied by 4,268,204,354 / 232, about 15% less per year
Tail
1 SIP per block forever, from block 2,274,049 (about year 21.6)
Supply
About 21.32 million SIP issued before the tail; no finite cap after it
Units
1 SIP = 100,000,000 atoms · every amount and ratio is a checked integer

1017,659,668

A protocol year is 105,120 blocks; calendar timing varies with proof-of-work production. Burns, the Holder pool and lock schedules change who holds the supply, not the gross schedule. No premine: issuance starts at block 1.

05 / Locks

Locked by the proof,
not by a promise.

  • Every note commits to its unlock height inside the encrypted package
  • The transaction proof checks that unlock height against the block height of the chain snapshot it spends from
  • Changing the ciphertext, witness or snapshot cannot unlock a note early
  • Wallets show available and locked balances and the next unlock, with dates estimated from block intervals
